I made this without the chocolate and it was easy and delicious. I only microwaved the sugar/syrup for 4 mins since 5 seemed too long and only used about 1 1/2 cups of peanuts and that was plenty! Spreading the mix at the end doesn't really work, so instead I just wobbled the pan around to thin out the candy. I'm already planning a second batch!

Just found this recipe and can't wait to try it out! For a packaging idea pour the brittle in the bottom of a well greased metal pie plate to get uniform size. Once cool just slip the whole brittle disk into a zip lock or other food storage bag and add a bow or other embelishments for holiday gift-giving!

This is the easiest and best recipe for peanut brittle. I have shared it with my family and they really enjoy it. Thanks!

Candyholic here! Peanut Brittle is my favorite candy and this is the best I've ever tasted. Very easy to make and my double batch was gone within 15 minutes at a family gathering. You have to add this to your favorites list- you won't be sorry.

Helpful Hint: *5 min on high in the microwave is too long. It burned everything and melted my plastic bowel. *Do not use a plastic bowel in the microwave with this recipe. *I tried it again, reducing the time in the microwave(ca. 3min)and it came out perfectly! *I also drizzled it with semi-sweet chocolate and it was awesome!! **Yummy!!!!**

So good!! Everyone at my work LOVED it and could not believe I made it in the microwave. Really good plain or I just drizzled with melted semi-sweet choc (did not add PB). I was amazed at how easy and how good the brittle was.
