Cheesy Shrimp and Rice

Cheesy Shrimp and Rice recipe
I made a few changes to add flavor. I added 2 cloves garlic, 1/4 tsp. black pepper, 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese, and 2 Tbs. lemon juice. As good as it was, next time I will use more

Very easy to make. I used brown rice and low fat/fat free dairy products. Delicious and my husband loved it!
We thought this was pretty bland. I liked the flavor of the rice but the shrimp and broccoli didn't have any flavor. Would definitely have to add something to them when cooking if we tried it again.
I LOVE shrimp!!!!!!
This recipe has all components for a five-star rating: quick, simple, delicious and less than 10 ingredients. My husband and I both loved it! This will definitely become a regular in our house.
I read the comments about this one being bland before making it, and decided to go with some of the suggestions I had read. I added an extra cup of broth, and used 4 pieces of already cooked bacon. Very Tasty! I will definatly make this one again, though I may use chicken instead since shrimp is so expensive!
I guess it was a little bland, but certainly not inedible. I'd make it again.
This was BLAND. Except for adding garlic to the shrimp as they sauteed, I followed the recipe exactly. There was no flavor to it whatsoever. My kids picked out the shrimp and the broccoli because they said the rice was yucky. I was sorely disappointed by the taste. I wouldn't make this again without some *major* doctoring - more garlic, less cream cheese, maybe cayenne for kick.
we LOVED this recipe. my bf's son is allergic to shellfish, so i substituted the shrimp with chicken. i also added the cooked, crumbled bacon, an extra 1/4 c of cream cheese, i upped the rice and broth portion, and sprinkled with just a bit of sredded cheddar. my bf ate ALL the leftovers the next day, i didnt get any.
I also added additional 1 c chicken broth, salt and pepper. My kids loved this meal. I cut the shrimp into kid bite size. I would add to my weekly meals.
So easy to make and tastes great too. I added some salt and pepper to season it up a little. I also bumped up the rice portion to 2 cups and used to 2-14.5 oz cans of broth (which is approx. 4 cups). I will surely add this meal to the weekly rotation.
