I make this cake from scratch every year around the holidays. It's soOo easy and takes divine. I usually skip the fruit and whipped topping, instead opting for a light dusting of powdered sugar.

I put half of the cake mix in the pan and then added cherry pie filling in the middle, then finished with the cake mix. It turned out wonderful and wasn't so rich.

The cake is very good! I enjoyed it very much as well as my family. The only problem is the display. It tastes delicious, but is very hard to make it look appetizing.

This was Delicious i baked this for dessert when my b/f and i invited his grand parents over for dinner. I had a hard time getting the chocolate to spread smoothly it was kinda thick but still DELICIOUS

This was really easy to make. It was dense like a pound cake, but suprisingly light. The balance of chocolate was great - rich without being overwhelming. The ganache is the best, and easiest, that I have ever made, and makes works really well for chocolate covered strawberries.

I made this recipe over a year ago and everyone is still asking me to make it again. It is really good and pretty easy to make.

I thought this was okay. A little too chocolate-ty (is this a word?) for my taste. The sauce was too much -- and, it overpowered the cake so much that I wasn't sure how good the actual cake part tasted. I'm not sure that it was that much better than using the box mix directions. I might consider making it again but adding chocolate chips to the batter and dusting it with powdered sugar (and forego the sauce -- although I have to say that the older kids liked the sauce). I thought the raspberries were a nice touch, though.
