I made this recipe over a year ago and everyone is still asking me to make it again. It is really good and pretty easy to make.

I thought this was okay. A little too chocolate-ty (is this a word?) for my taste. The sauce was too much -- and, it overpowered the cake so much that I wasn't sure how good the actual cake part tasted. I'm not sure that it was that much better than using the box mix directions. I might consider making it again but adding chocolate chips to the batter and dusting it with powdered sugar (and forego the sauce -- although I have to say that the older kids liked the sauce). I thought the raspberries were a nice touch, though.

I have made this recipe several times, it tastes really great and I get plenty of compliments. I am not sure there is something I'm doing, but each time I've made it, it seems like the cake shrinks. Make sure the icing has cooled before trying to do the star thing with the cool whip, otherwise it looks a mess.

very tasty without being overly sweet. Intense chocolate flavor. Very attractive presentation.

We made it for my husbands birthday on Saturday. It was sooooo good. Very rich (but not too rich!) & moist. My frosting didn't turn out as thick as in the picture, but it was still good. I also was completely unable to make the stars, but settled for swirling the cool whip into the frosting with my toothpick. The raspberries added a nice touch - LOL - especially for my daughter who loves raspberries! My MIL, who loves chocolate, did not like the cake. But perhaps it's me she does not like?????
