Ribbon Bar Cheesecake

Sounds yummy. The instructions call for a 9x 13 pan and the picture shows the cake out of the pan but there are no instructions on how to get the cake out of the pan.

What You Need

OREO Cookies, crushed

1/2

cup (1 stick) butter, melted

1/4

cup PLANTERS Chopped Pecans

1/4

cup BAKER'S ANGEL FLAKE Coconut

pkg. (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

cup sugar

eggs

1/2

cup whipping cream

1-1/2

pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate (6 oz.), broken into pieces

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 350ºF. Mix crushed cookies, butter, pecans and coconut; press firmly onto bottom of 13x9-inch baking pan. Refrigerate while preparing filling.

BEAT cream cheese and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition just until blended. Pour over crust.

BAKE 40 min. or until center is almost set. Cool. Refrigerate 3 hours or overnight. Place whipping cream and chocolate in saucepan. Cook on low heat until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring occasionally. Pour over cheesecake. Refrigerate 15 min. or until chocolate is firm. Store leftover cheesecake in refrigerator.

Special Extra

After chocolate topping is firm, place additional 1 oz. chocolate in microwaveable bowl. Microwave on MEDIUM 1 min., stirring after 30 seconds. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Pour into small resealable bag; seal bag. Snip off one small corner from bottom of bag; twist top of bag to squeeze chocolate from bag to pipe a special message, such as " Greetings," on top of cheesecake.

To get the cake out of the pan, line pan with Pam coated foil, Release, parchment paper, etc. You can cut to exact size of bottom of pan and use a knife to loosen sides or cover entire pan, pressing firmly. Either way, peel the foil off the cake after removing from pan. Hint: Fit foil against outside of pan, then transfer to inside.

I would like to try to make this recipe for my daughter's First Communion next month, but I'm wondering... how do you get it out of the 13x9 pan so that you can present it like in the picture?

We made this for our family get together at Christmas. It was so good...but more importantly soooo easy!!! my sister and I knocked this out in less than 30 minutes! We just made it again today for her b-day and we're going to top it with fresh strawberries! YUM! If you love cheesecake this is a great one to try.

My family are cheesecake freaks so I was a little worried that this recipe would not be good enough, but to my surprise it was a hit at Christmas for my family and then I made another one for my in-laws who now what to make the recipe for all their co-workers! Soooo Simple, but SOOOOO GOOD!

This cheesecake turned out really good. I decide to make it in a 10" springform pan using 18 oreos, 1/4 c butter, 1/4 c coconut, and 1/2 c nuts for the crust. I baked it at 325 degrees for 60 minutes.

If you like chocolate, this is the cake for you. I made this cheesecake for Thanksgiving and it was delicious! I added chocolate chips to the cream cheese mix (before baked) and to the oreo cookie crust instead of the nuts and coconut. It was rich in taste and my family loved it!!

Everyone at work loved it! I used the "Dulce de Leche" oreos for the crust and added caramel ice cream topping just before serving. It was a hit!

This was VERY good. Took it to a party and everyone just loved it. It is very rich though. Its quite easy to make. I did have trouble getting it out of the pan though. I didnt grease it before I put the crumb crust in. I did let it set out for a while and it seemed to be easier to get out of the pan then.
