Make It

Tap or click steps to mark as complete

  • Heat broiler.
  • Reserve 1/4 cup barbecue sauce. Shape meat into 4 (1/2-inch-thick) patties.
  • Broil, 4 to 6 inches from heat, 7 to 9 min. on each side or until done (160°F), brushing occasionally with remaining barbecue sauce for the last few minutes. Top with Singles. Broil 1 min. or until Singles begin to melt.
  • Fill rolls with lettuce, tomatoes, burgers, reserved sauce and bacon.

Variation

Prepare using ground turkey and KRAFT 2% Milk Singles.

Use Your Grill

To grill meat patties instead of broiling them, heat grill to medium heat. Reserve 1/4 cup barbecue sauce for later use. Grill patties 4 to 5 min. on each side or until done (160ºF), turning and brushing occasionally with remaining barbecue sauce the last few minutes. Top with Singles; grill 1 min. or until Singles begin to melt. Continue as directed.

Substitute

Substitute 1/4 lb. (4 oz.) VELVEETA®, cut into 4 slices, or KRAFT DELI DELUXE Cheese Slices for the Singles.

I made this recipe for my family and I had the same problem another cook had with the meat falling apart.Luckily I had foil on the grill and was able to salvage the meat.My family said that it tasted really good.I melted cheese on it to help hold it together.I was disappointed at the outcome of the burger, but my family said the taste is all that matters.I dont think that I did anything wrong in the recipe ,so don't know why this happened.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I don't know why the other person who commented had problems keeping the meat together. I don't know why the other person who commented had problems keeping the meat together. Just mix like your making meat loaf - use your hands and really fold it in good and make the pattties firm and there shouldn't be a problem. Taste really great. I used Swiss Cheese and also some mushrooms, along with the rest of your recipe. Really good!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from We had friends over for a BBQ and I tried this recipe. We had friends over for a BBQ and I tried this recipe. I mixed the correct amount of BBQ sauce with the meat and it fell apart on the grill. We had to go to the store, buy more meat and start again. The BBQ sauce is good on the bun but don't mix it with the meat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I made smaller burgers, & we like a big slice of onion & a spice rub on the outside. I made smaller burgers, & we like a big slice of onion & a spice rub on the outside. We also like to use different kinds of Kraft cheeses. We love Kaiser rolls / for a small mouth size it down by cutting a slice out of the center. It pays to think a little.

The burgers were good they did not do so well on the grill I think that if I made this again I would stick to using just the broiler. We ended up having to put the burgers on a peice of foil so that we wouldn't loose them in the fire.

This was great, the only thing I did different was, I used preformed patties, but the family still thought it was awesome, especially since I had all the extra toppings set out so they could add their own!
