Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grilled Cheese is my favorite sandwich. Grilled Cheese is my favorite sandwich. I volunteer at the hospital 2 days a week. Every other week the grilled cheese sandwich is on the menu-it also has the tomatoe in it. Everyone loves them and they have to make loads of them to keep everybody happy. Lots of times when I don't know what to have, I make a grilled cheese sandwich and it satisfies me. It is the best sandwich that was ever invented.---Gloria

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I always make this with whole wheat bread and 2% milk singles now. I always make this with whole wheat bread and 2% milk singles now. I only use real Kraft cheese, not cheese food! To make a really fabulous sandwich, however, I add a slice of tomato and two strips of crisp bacon between the two cheese slices. I use lite butter on both sides of the bread and saute in a little olive oil. I like it this way with a small green salad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My son is the pickiest eater EVER! My son is the pickiest eater EVER! Grilled cheese sandwiches is one of the things I make several times a week and most of the time when cooking something else for the rest of the family. I love that I can make these in the oven! I haven't tried it yet but never would have thought to and will be probably tonight!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I always butter one side of bread, then put butter into pan and grill the unbuttered side. I always butter one side of bread, then put butter into pan and grill the unbuttered side. Turn the buttered side down and grill it too. While the last side is grilling put cheese on and top with the other bread slice. That way both sides of the bread are grilled, Just makes a better sandwich.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only two slices of cheese? Only two slices of cheese? I guess I'm just a cheese-a-holic but I always use more. Match it up with slices of roasted peppers (or hot peppers), ham or smoked turkey... the possibilities are endless! The classic grilled cheese made with Kraft singles is the mainstay of our Lent menu!!

I use my George Foreman grill to cook grilled cheese sandwiches - does both sides at once, and I can make two sandwiches at a time. We prefer Velveeta cheese for grilled cheese sandwiches, but this is a quick and easy way to make them. Always serve grilled cheese with tomato soup!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you are health conscious, try making w/o the butter or margerine. If you are health conscious, try making w/o the butter or margerine. Put it instead in the microwave for approximately 15secs on high depending on your microwave. Or in the toaster oven on toast setting in the middle between light and medium, again depending on your toaster oven.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made this a million times over the years. Made this a million times over the years. BUT, try with 2 different cheeses, or a slice of ham or bologna, or thin slice of tomato or fried bacon strip. (Enjoy reading the reviews and many times helps me to decide on whether or not I try a recipe.)
