I am a diabetic and this is awesome even if you use a fat free / sugar free angel food cake (they are out there) and sugar free, fat free puddings. I have made it with Pistacheo sugar free pudding (My favorite!)OR sometimes with Chocolate pudding between the layers and left off the Pineapple. I usually "frost" the whole thing {top and sides} with Chocolate sugar free pudding mixed with the Lite Cool Whip. WOW!! If you use the "Pie" recipe for the puddings it makes it hold together a bit better. Tooth Picks between the layers also help. I have also "cheated" a bit and used the Chocolate Cool Whip with the Chocolate pudding . . . Holy Smokes! It's good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was AWSOME! This was AWSOME! I made it for a Realotr luncheon. Everyone loved it! I made a boxed angel food cake, but made them in a mini cupcake pan with papers. Watch out not to burn! Store the cakes in a zip lock bag overnight to soften (witout the filling of corse) I piped the filling onto the cakes about 1 hr before serving. They were perfect little cakes. I also made a homemade poundcake. in a square pan. Cut them up into little bites, put this topping on and WOW!!! Looking forward to doing it again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great recipe. This is a great recipe. My son loves pineapples so I made the Angel Lush cake for his birthday. I also made cup cakes just incase the other kids didnt like it but the kids ate the angel lush cake. It was a hit. I will say I was worried about the cake sliding over so next time I will probably do the Angel Lush cupcakes. This a great recipe to make especially in the summer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great recipe. This is a great recipe. You can substitute all ingredients with sugar free ones and diabetics can enjoy this also, without losing any of the flavor. A few hints: after you fill your layers, and before you cover the top, insert & cut 4 plastic straws to make it more stable and French Vanilla pudding makes it even better, if that is possible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm a chocaholic and this was the first non chocolate recipe I would make over and over again. I'm a chocaholic and this was the first non chocolate recipe I would make over and over again. It's easy and doesn't take long to assemble. I didn't add the extra fruit to garnish but I did make extra vanilla pudding and cool whip mix and layered the cake with pineapple mix, pudding mix and cake.. This dessert looks great in a triffle dish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I simply put the filling in a 'Nilla wafer crust (no struggling to cut or balance the cake layers). I simply put the filling in a 'Nilla wafer crust (no struggling to cut or balance the cake layers). I also add coconut to the filling and sprinkle toasted coconut on top. This has become the dessert I'm requested to bring for all occasions. A friend who tried it for the first time at Easter said it tasted "like summer".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was sooooo goooood! This was sooooo goooood! My whole family loved it. I may try coconut in the filling next time. My husband said to try to put fresh fruit in the layers and cover the entire cake with the filling. Either way, it was light very tasty, light and gone in a day.
