Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made this as an appetizer for a birthday party. I made this as an appetizer for a birthday party. Everyone loved it and wanted the recipe. I did what one reviewer said and left the tomatoes out until I served it. I also put in some chic peas. I plated it on a bed of crispy romaine lettuce and sprinkled some feta cheese and cracked black pepper. The taste and presentation were fantastic.

Also, I substituted banana pepper pieces for the pepperoncini peppers, which was good as well. I brought it to a potluck "salad-themed" dinner, and it was completely gone! Got a lot of compliments!
