This classic baked dessert of sliced apples topped with cinnamon-sugared bread cubes gets a flavor twist with the melted sharp Cheddar cheese on top.

What You Need

 Granny Smith apples, peeled, thinly sliced (8 cups)

Tbsp.  lemon juice

Tbsp.  water
1
cup  sugar
1-1/2
tsp.  ground cinnamon
8
 Hawaiian dinner rolls, quartered

Tbsp.  butter or margarine, cut into small pieces

pkg.  (8 oz.) CRACKER BARREL Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°F.

PLACE apples in 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray. Add juice and water; mix lightly.

MIX sugar and cinnamon. Add to bread in large bowl; toss to evenly coat. Spread over apples; dot with butter.

BAKE 45 min. Sprinkle with cheese; bake 5 min. or until melted.
