Fresh apple slices are blanketed with a buttery topping of brown sugar, cinnamon, flour and crushed cereal for a warm and comforting dessert.

what you need

large  apples, cored, peeled and sliced (about 8 cups)
1/3
cup  firmly packed brown sugar
1/3
cup  flour
1/2
tsp.  ground cinnamon
2
Tbsp.  butter or margarine
1
cup  wheat and barley cereal flakes, lightly crushed

Make It

PLACE apple slices in 8-inch square baking pan. Mix sugar, flour and cinnamon in large bowl. Cut butter into flour mixture until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Stir in cereal; sprinkle over apples.

BAKE at 375°F for 30 to 35 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm.
