Cinnamon-sprinkled apples get a yummy cream cheese cookie base and a layer of coconut flakes and walnuts in these potluck-perfect dessert squares.

What You Need

oz.  (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

Tbsp.  butter, softened

cup  sugar, divided

tsp.  vanilla, divided
1
cup  flour

tsp.  baking soda

large   Granny Smith apples, peeled, thinly sliced
1/2
tsp.  ground cinnamon

 egg
1/3
cup  canned evaporated milk
1-1/3
cups  BAKER'S ANGEL FLAKE Coconut
1
cup  chopped PLANTERS Walnuts
1
tub  (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°F.

BEAT cream cheese, butter, 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla in large bowl with mixer until blended. Add flour and baking soda; mix well. Spread onto bottom of 13x9-inch pan sprayed with cooking spray. Top with apples; sprinkle with cinnamon.

WHISK egg, milk and remaining vanilla in medium bowl until blended. Add coconut, nuts and remaining sugar; mix well. Spread over apples.

BAKE 35 min. or until golden brown. Cool completely. Serve topped with COOL WHIP.

How to Easily Remove Squares from Pan
Line empty pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides of pan. Bake dessert in prepared pan as directed. Cool, then use foil handles to remove dessert from pan before cutting into squares.
