Sliced fresh apples are topped with a mixture of flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, butter and walnuts and baked into one scrumptious crisp.

cups  apple slices
2/3
cup  flour
1/2
cup  firmly packed light brown sugar
1-1/2
tsp.  ground cinnamon
1/2
tsp.  ground nutmeg
1/3
cup  cold margarine or butter
1/2
cup  chopped PLANTERS Walnuts

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 375°F. Place apples in greased 9-inch square baking pan.

MIX flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in large bowl; cut in margarine with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in walnuts; spoon evenly over apples.

BAKE 20 to 30 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is lightly browned.
