No one could get past the odd textures especially when layered together. On top of that, many did not like the raspberry-cinnamon combination.
I made this for our 4th of July BBQ at my grandparents. Everyone LOVED it! I substituted cinnamon applesauce for the cinnamon and plain applesauce.Then I topped it with sugar free cool whip!
I originally got this recipe from a Jell-O cookbook years ago. I'm so happy to have found it again! The two layers have very different but complimentary flavors. Delicious! The cinnamon tends to clump, though, so I use a tiny hand mixer to blend it into the Jell-O THEN I add the applesauce.
