If you've ever had Tuna Tataki in a sushi restraunt, it is basically very lightly seared tuna. I have made this a couple of times and people who love sashimi will LOVE this (and be very impressed). Just be sure to only sear each side only for a brief amount of time until there is a thin (0.5cm), even edge of cooked meat all around. And only use sashimi-grade tuna!!!!
We just made this for dinner last night and it was delicious. The dressing is very light and tasteful. It is definitely a great meal to make in the summer and easy to whip up. Only suggestion might be to cook the fish about 2 minutes on each side if you want it medium rare. I did the 3 minutes on each side and it was cooked medium well. But even so, still a great meal!!!
