It sounded great in theory and I've made many apple pies and I've made many desserts with booze but it wasn't just right. I don't usually add vanilla to apples and I think that may have thrown off the flavor. It could have been the bourbon. In addition, it was very watery. I'll stick to traditional apple pie recipes next time.
I don't usually make desserts but the reviews were tempting and I decided to prepare it for a dinner. Everyone loved it so much that I did it again for another dinner and again it was a hit
