Use kitchen shears to cut raw bacon as directed.
Do not cut raw bacon into pieces. Instead, bake whole bacon slices in foil-lined pan as directed on package. Cool slightly, then cut or crumble into 1/2-inch pieces.
Substitute milk for the vinegar.
