Bacon and Caramelized Onion Pizza

What You Need

slices  OSCAR MAYER Super Thick Cut Applewood Smoked Bacon, cut into 1/2-inch-wide slices

 onion, sliced
1/4
cup  dark stout beer
1
clove  garlic, minced
1
Tbsp.  brown sugar
1/2
tsp.  coarse ground black pepper
1/4
tsp.  dried thyme leaves
1
 ready-to-use baked pizza crust (12 inch)
1
tsp.  GREY POUPON Dijon Mustard
1
pkg.  (8 oz.) CRACKER BARREL Shredded Vermont Sharp White Cheddar Cheese

Make It

COOK and stir bacon in large skillet on medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon from skillet with slotted spoon, reserving drippings in skillet; drain bacon on paper towels.

ADD onions to skillet; cook 8 min. or until crisp-tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in beer and garlic; cook on high heat 5 min. or until thickened, stirring frequently. Add sugar, pepper and thyme; mix well. Remove from heat; cool.

HEAT oven to 400ºF. Spread pizza crust with mustard; place on baking sheet. Top with onions, cheese and bacon.

BAKE 10 min. or until pizza is heated through and cheese is melted.

Serve this flavorful pizza with a crisp mixed green salad tossed with your favorite KRAFT Light Dressing.
Substitute
Substitute 1/2 tsp. finely chopped fresh thyme leaves for the dried thyme.
Non-Alcoholic Variation
Omit beer. Add garlic to cooked onions; cook on high heat 2 min. or until thickened, stirring frequently. Add sugar, pepper and thyme; mix well. Continue as directed.
