How to Safely Add Eggs to a Recipe

When using eggs, break them, one at a time, into a small bowl before mixing with the other ingredients. This allows you to check the egg's quality first and remove any pieces of shell, if necessary.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this recipe. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this recipe. One of my all time favorites. Not necessarily the ingredients listed but the concept of cooking an omelet in the oven. I always keep grated leftover ham in the freezer and make this with the ham and cheese and add whatever else I have on hand. A tip for easier rolling-use the paper to lift it up and roll. Everyone is always impressed with this dish!

Definitely needs some seasoning. Although I didn't have any trouble rolling it up, the melted cheese between the layers caused the roll to separate and flatten. Perhaps the cheese should be added to the egg mixture. Think I'll look for a different recipe to serve.

I have made this recipe several times for visitors with different ingredients and the taste and presentation is great. If you add ingredients make sure the items are in the mix. If you try to add ham slices, etc. to the top, it won't roll well. Very easy and fancy looking.

My recipe calls for cornstarch instead of flour. You can fill it with whatever omelet fillings your family likes. FYI - chopped fresh spinach is really good in it. Fits easily on a biscuit!!! :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I have not made this recipe yet. I have not made this recipe yet. Just a quick question from a beginner: if I substituted green pepper for red, would there be a significant change in taste? I don't know red pepper - what's the difference in taste? Thank you for any response.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've made this several times and just love it. I've made this several times and just love it. We tend to use egg substitute (to avoid the cholesterol) and pre-cooked Oscar Meyer bacon bits (to cut down time and mess). Also a very easy recipe to customize.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Made this yesterday morning. Made this yesterday morning. I thought it was ok. The eggs had a very weird consistency. I did add more cheese and veggies . Now if I could only do this on the stove. Presentation was beautiful though,.
