Rated 4 out of 5 by from I also made these spread with a crab and cream cheese filling. I also made these spread with a crab and cream cheese filling. The cream cheese flavored with coctail sauce, crab meat and with finely diced celery. I sprinkled the cooked bacon over the top and assembled. My family and friends loved these as much as the original receipe.

This was really messy to make and they didn't turn out nearly as pretty as the picture. But, I brought them to a "food day" at work and everyone complemented me on how good they were. I used 4 oz of reduced fat cream cheese and some mayo and fresh tomato puree. Yum Yum!

I made some following the recipe, but made some extras adding shaved mesquite turkey. Very tasty! I think you could easily add other twists for an easy, enjoyable appetizer.
