What You Need

slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon

large sea scallops (1 lb.)

1/2

cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce

1/4

tsp. freshly ground black pepper

Make It

HEAT grill to medium-high heat.

PLACE bacon on paper towel-covered microwaveable plate. Microwave on HIGH 2-1/2 min. or just until bacon starts to cook but is not crisp. Cool slightly.

WRAP 1 bacon slice around each scallop. Thread 2 scallops onto each of 4 skewers.

GRILL 7 to 8 min. or until scallops are done and bacon is crisp, turning frequently and brushing with barbecue sauce. Transfer to platter; sprinkle with pepper.

If using wooden skewers, soak them in water 30 min. before using to prevent them from burning on the grill.

This was easy and delicious! I want to try to make it inside on the stove next time for when it's not nice enough outside to grill. Everyone was a huge fan!

I used baby scallops and turkey bacon. I opted out of using skewers because the scallops were too small, but I basically made bacon pouches with a few scallops in each pouch, sealed with the bbq sauce.

I think I am just a fan of traditional scallops wrapped in bacon. They were good, but just not used to that flavor combo.

I only made a few just in case the family didn't like them. Well, they were gone in 5 min. Pretty tasty.

I had a hard time imagining what scallops would taste like with BBQ sauce, but tried the recipe and was DELIGHTED with the taste combination. The bacon adds a smoky flavor and the BBQ sauce is not overpowering, just RIGHT! Have made the recipe several times and will make it again and again.
