I'm making these again today, but this time using the Medjool dates as recipe calls for. I used cheaper boxed, pitted dates last time and they were awful, pay a bit more and get the Medjool and remove the pit, they are way more tender. There was a bit of messy work in making these, but they are delicious! They were a big hit.
