Trimming Fresh Asparagus

Asparagus spears snap off naturally where they are tough. Simply bend the spear near the bottom end and it will break off at the right point. Or, remove an inch or so of the "woody" portion off the bottom of the stalks with a sharp knife.

This is the first time that I've atempted to cook asparagus at home because I was so intimidated by this veggie...but it was so good that this is also the first review that I've left too! Cook and enjoy folks!

Cut up the asparagus into bite size pieces, tossed with parmesan and used 4 cheese cheeze its. My teenage daughter tasted ans said "wow, you made asparagus that doesn't taste bad!" She proceeded to have a bowlful for a snack. It's a keeper.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This was extremely simple and very tasty. This was extremely simple and very tasty. I will surely make it again. I wanted something different to bring for Easter and this went over superbly. There was nothing left! I didn't have enough Peppercorn Ranch dressing for the recipe, so I added Three cheese Ranch and it turned out great!

We all know that asparagus is very healthy but it can sometimes be an acquired taste...with this recipe, I was able to make it so that ALL of my children and my hubby loved it. For the first time, they were asking for more and disappointed when they learned we had finished off the whole dish!

My children are not real crazy about asparagus but when we made this recipe all of us had not only one helping but asked for more! I thought it was just a fluke the first time so I made it again a couple weeks later and the same thing happened. All the veggies were eaten! Amazing!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from We love asparagus but the combination of these toppings didn't work for us. We love asparagus but the combination of these toppings didn't work for us. Perhaps another dressing type (maybe balsamic or garlic herb)would have worked better? Simmering the asparagus for 2 minutes was perfect for cooking it just right prior to baking it in the oven. Great tip!

I usually try a recipe first before I serve to a crowd but I have had great success with Kraft products. This was very easy to prepare and had a great flavor. Everyone enjoyed this dish so I will prepare it often.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I added minced garlic and mixed the cheese in with the dressing. I added minced garlic and mixed the cheese in with the dressing. Also used french fried onions on top instead of crackers. Made it more flavorful and took it to a dinner party-the others already asked for the recipe and I was embarrased to tell them HOW EASY it was!
