  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Combine first 4 ingredients in medium bowl; set aside. Brown meat with vegetables in large nonstick skillet. Stir in pasta sauce, cream cheese mixture and 1/2 cup mozzarella; cook and stir 2 to 3 min. or until mozzarella is melted. Add pasta; mix lightly.
  • Spoon into 2-qt. casserole; top with remaining mozzarella. Cover.
  • Bake 20 min. or until heated through, uncovering after 15 min.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This was just ok. This was just ok. Tasted a little weird due to the cream cheese taste, which I guess I should have expected (duh). Made it with extra veggies (zucchini and mushrooms) and 1 lb of meat, and there was still too much sauce for my liking. I would probably just make something like this again, but with a regular tomato cream sauce, and not the Philly creme. My husband and 2 out of 3 kids liked it though, so I'll probably make it again, but using either half the creme or making more pasta.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely A Keeper! I made this for the boyfriend and I last night and it was a hit. We had the Penne and pasta sauce so I went searching for a bake that I already had most of the ingredients. I didn't use the Italian seasoning so I used a different variety of pasta sauce (Tuscan Herb I think) and I used a little extra garlic powder. I also added mushrooms and probably put more veggies than needed by the recipe. But the picky eater boyfriend still liked it. I also probably used more cheese (we are cheese lovers). I paired it with a simple salad and it was delicious! The pasta is very creamy, cheesy, and full of flavor. I've been calling it "poor man's lasagna" because the flavors are similar without all the fuss and mess. Definitely adding this one to my recipes.

I have made it with the ground beef,I have also used regular country sausage, my husband will not eat any other kind of sausage, and I have also made this with pepperoni(my favorite).I did not have the cooking creme so I used regular cream cheese and just added some seasonings such as basil & garlic and it was great so that is the way I make it now. I also used some ricotta cheese.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE this recipe and make it all the time. I LOVE this recipe and make it all the time. I love cooking creme! Best new product in a long time. For this recipe I use 1 lb of italian sausage from my local Hy-vee. Makes it a little spicy. I also italian blend cheese instead of just mozz and use 2 cups instead of one. Also, I usually leave out the onions and green peppers b/c my family isn't a fan, but I do like it that way too. Enjoy!

The first time I made it with Classico jarred spaghetti sauce and it was good. It was even better the 2nd time when I made it with my own sauce. The only thing I could say that I didn't like about this recipe is how I blame this dish for adding a couple of pounds to my hips. Other than that it's delish!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved this recipe, however, I changed it up a bit. Loved this recipe, however, I changed it up a bit. I used Savory garlic cooking creme, grilled chicken, ans bow tie pasta. A bit different from the original, but thats what I had. This was so GOOD! My super picky 5 yr old just sat and ate a second bowl! This is unheard of. Tasted like a vodka/rosa sauce. Will be making again.

After chemo my son's taste has not been the same and finding foods that he can eat is a bit challenging. I made this dish for dinner and both he and my husband really liked it and asked that I make it again. It is quick and easy. I did make one change, I used 4 oz. low fat cream cheese instead of the cooking creme.

For those of you that have children that do not like to see or taste onions or peppers try this. Cook up the amount of onions and peppers the menu calls for and when they are soft put them into your blender to make a sauce out of them then add it to your recipe. No one will know! I have been doing this for years
