Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cake was very quick and easy to make. Cake was very quick and easy to make. I used instant coffee disolved into the water to give it a little more kick. The people that thought this cake was dry had to have cooked it to long. It is super moist. The flavor is very mild chocolate flavor though. I will keep playing with this recipe untill the chocolate is strong enough. This is a keeper.

I made the double recipe for a two layer cake and made the Baker's one bowl frosting -- it was awesome!!! Such chocolatey flavor...you won't need a big piece because it very rich. Highly recommend you put the iced cake in the fridge before you serve and slice...it holds the frosting and the cake better!

But, can you help me with the measurements for the cooking chocolate. Living in Australia our chocolate is measured in weight for recipes not the number of squares. So, how much is 3 squares of cooking chocolate? Thanks

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I really liked the glaze but I think I must have done something wrong. I really liked the glaze but I think I must have done something wrong. This cake has really good rating so I will try it again. It came out dry so maybe I baked it too long? Either way I will try it again and hopefully it will turn out as good as everyone says it does.

My husband and I had a sweet tooth so I went to my favorite recipe site (here of course) and found this wonderful recipe. It was so easy and so yummy! The only thing is the glaze was bitter so I added about a 1/4 cup of sugar and a little more cream - it was heavenly!

I first made this cake for Father's Day dinner last year, then again for a friend's birthday. It deserves better than 5 stars! It is one of the best chocolate cakes yet. The hardest part is not eating it before the guests do!
