Absolutely! love these. I've been making them for almost 10yrs now. Kids love 'em, grown-ups do too. Only make them for Superbowl and are great to add football spirit! Everyone knows, if it's Superbowl time, it's Cocoa Pebble Football time!!
I read through all the reviews on here before making these and the best advice I can give is make sure you find the balance between "lightly moist" and "too moist" on your hands. I could make 4-5 before it got too sticky and they wouldn't hold their shape and I had to remoisten. I used Baker's melting milk chocolate and that worked really well. One thing I found was it took 2 tubes of decorating gel if you got the little tube so making a mid-recipe store run wasn't fun. I also kept an eye on the cookies after I formed them while they were cooling and had to press a few back together but they came out great.
Made this for my son's football team (8th grade) and they loved them. Huge hit. I used an oval ice cream scoop to get consistant sized footballs and it worked like a charm. Just keep a bowl of water handy to dip the scooper in!
