What You Need

pkg. (4 oz.) BAKER'S Unsweetened Chocolate

cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter

2-1/2

cups sugar, divided

eggs, divided

1-1/4

cups flour, divided

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°F.

LINE 13x9-inch pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides. Grease foil.

MICROWAVE chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Add 2 cups sugar; stir until well blended. Add 4 eggs; mix well. Stir in 1 cup flour until well blended; spread into prepared pan.

BEAT cream cheese and remaining sugar, egg and flour in same bowl with whisk until well blended. Spoon over brownie batter; swirl gently with knife.

BAKE 35 to 40 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs. (Do not overbake.) Cool completely. Use foil handles to lift brownies from pan before cutting to serve.

Substitute

Prepare using PHILADELPHIA Neufchatel Cheese.

Use Your Stove

Cook chocolate and butter in large saucepan on very low heat just until chocolate is melted, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in 2 cups sugar. Continue as directed.

Baking in Glass Baking DIsh

If a recipe calls for a metal pan and you substitute a glass baking dish, always reduce the oven temperature by 25ºF. This is necessary since the glass dish conducts and retains heat better than the metal pan.

They were easy to make!! They look good and tasted good but I felt like they needed something, maybe some vanilla. I will probably add some the next time I make them.

These are way better than recipes that call for a brownie mix, and they dont take any more time really, just a few minutes to melt chocolate with butter. They are delicious and look beautiful, and everybody loves them.

I tried a similar recipe but it used brownies from a box. While both were good, this one was much better because the brownies were homemade. I gave some of these brownies to someone who doesn't even like cheesecake, but he ate two brownies without hesitation!

These where sooooo good!!! I thought that they were very rich and sweet and didn't change the recipe at all. I made them for my daughter's daycare and the teachers loved them!
