Make It

Tap or click steps to mark as complete

  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Line 13x9-inch pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides. Grease foil.
  • Microwave chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Add 2 cups sugar; stir until well blended. Add 4 eggs; mix well. Stir in 1 cup flour until well blended; spread into prepared pan.
  • Beat cream cheese and remaining sugar, egg and flour in same bowl with whisk until well blended. Spoon over brownie batter; swirl gently with knife.
  • Bake 35 to 40 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs. (Do not overbake.) Cool completely. Use foil handles to lift brownies from pan before cutting to serve.

Substitute

Prepare using PHILADELPHIA Neufchatel Cheese.

Baking in Glass Baking Dish

If a recipe calls for a metal pan and you substitute a glass baking dish, always reduce the oven temperature by 25ºF. This is necessary since the glass dish conducts and retains heat better than the metal pan.

Use Your Stove

Cook chocolate and butter in large saucepan on very low heat just until chocolate is melted, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in 2 cups sugar. Continue as directed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from really good recipe. really good recipe. i substituted 2 eggs worth of egg whites and split the sugar with half splenda, works extremely well with substitutions. not only did i make the sheet brownies, i had leftovers because my brownie pan was too small so i loaded mini muffin tins with the batter and baked it for about 15min. these mini brownie muffins turned out wonderful!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LOVED them! LOVED them! I used semi-sweet chocolate instead of the unsweetened and man! they were awesome! I made them for a dinner party, and there were hardly any left! Easy to make, although, I had a little trouble spreading the cream cheese mixture to make it marbled...it kind of glopped...either way, very tasty!

I figured they would be a good combo. I brought some to work and everyone raved about them and asked if I had more. I sent this to a friend and hope she enjoys them as much as we did. Definitely a recipe I would keep and keep making.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I tried a similar recipe but it used brownies from a box. I tried a similar recipe but it used brownies from a box. While both were good, this one was much better because the brownies were homemade. I gave some of these brownies to someone who doesn't even like cheesecake, but he ate two brownies without hesitation!

They were decent i guess they would have been better if they were cooked longer than the recipie said.

These are way better than recipes that call for a brownie mix, and they dont take any more time really, just a few minutes to melt chocolate with butter. They are delicious and look beautiful, and everybody loves them.
