Banana Cake Balls

These Banana Balls are amazing!!! I've made them severl times and they are such a hit. Sometimes I use cheesecake instant jello instead. They taste even better.

I am also not sure why peope hated this recipe so much. They ae wicked easy to make. I have alrady made them 3 times after seeing the recipe in a magazine. They have been a big hit with the family and coworkers. I modified the recipe by making the cakes balls bigger, I only made 20 instead of 36. I also used 2 bars of dark chocolate and 1 bar of milk chocolate together. Yeah they are a bit mushy inside but it balances well with the crunch of the chocolate on the outside. I would recommend storing them in the fridge it keeps the inside and chocolate a bit firmer an enhances the flavor. If you like banana I would recommend trying this recipe for yourself.

Agree with other reviewers re: banana taste strong and mushy inside; however, I substituted semi-sweet mini chocolate chips and liked the taste. Now if only the recipe told me how to store these after the chocolate hardened.

I don't know what the problem with everyone here is. It's pound cake mixed with pudding and mashed bananas. Of COURSE it's going to be a little mushy inside! I thought they were delicious and so did my 5 kids, my husband and my mom. We will certainly make them again. I had absolutely no issues making them, rolling them, covering them in chocolate or letting the chocolate harden outside of the fridge. It's not rocket science people. It's cake balls. Yummy, mushy, banana-y (made that up), chocolatey, cake balls.

9 out of 10 family members said these were gross. I watched the video after I made them for Easter to be sure I'd done it right, and they looked exactly the same. The taste of the cake is very bland,and the chocolate overwhelms the flavor completely. Would not make these again.

I've made quite a few cake balls, and this is by far the worst recipe, just from the looks of it! When I went to make it, I made my own modifications and it came out perfect: I used 1 small box of jello's cheesecake pudding (instead of the large), and used a little more than one pound cake loaf. The cheesecake helped even out the banana flavor and they rolled into balls wonderfully!

Just tried this recipe and like other reviews, I will read reviews before wasting time and money. Will not make again. Too sweet, expensive, messy.

I have just tried this recipe for Easter this weekend. I had all ingredients in my pantry and it sounded good. but never again! Too sweet and mushy. What a waste it was.
