This banana cream pie was a 10 all on its own. But we decided to go for 11 by giving it an extra layer of creamy goodness and a drizzle of caramel on top.

Excellent pie but my only complaint is that is says it's "banana cream" but the only banana ingredient is the one banana. I used one vanilla pudding and one banana pudding flavor instead of the 2 vanilla pudding mixes the recipe called for. Also, store did not carry French Vanilla Cool Whip and regular Cool Whip worked just fine. Nice and creamy pie!

I used the plain graham cracker crumb crust and then added melted chocolate to the crust before adding banana slices, then used heavy whipped cream beat with vanilla flavor sugar rather than the frozen whipped cream. Also used the 2 packages of banana instant pudding. This was such a hit that I had to send everyone recipes after the party.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My family enjoyed this pie. My family enjoyed this pie. I did change it a bit. I used one banana and one vanilla pudding, then added 1/2 of a 12oz tub of cool whip. I put the bananas on the bottom, 1/2 the pudding mixture, more bananas then the rest of the pudding mixture. Then before serving I put the rest of the cool whip on top and garnished with bananas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was so simple and yummy! This was so simple and yummy!! I had over ripe bananas so in addition to lining the bottom of the dish I mashed one and mixed it in with the pudding mixture. When I make it again I will either add the banana to the pudding again or buy banana pudding mix other wise i don't think it would have enough banana flavor.

I had out of town company and they were amazed that I made such a great banana cream pie. I'm known for burning water, but this was easy I think I'll let my eight year old make it next time (I'll slice the bananas). My Grandmother even thought it was as good as her's.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was super easy and delish! This was super easy and delish! I also put a layer of bananas on the bottom, half of the cream and another layer of bananas and cream on top to give it a bit more depth. Used lite Cool Whip and skim milk for the puddings and didn't notice it was low-fat. A keeper!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from All in all, a decent recipe. All in all, a decent recipe. I added a layer of chocolate to the bottom for an extra kick. The bananas didn't sit well overnight so they tasted strange with the pie. Probably best to eat right away. Very rich - but great for a sweet tooth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great recipe. Great recipe. I slice my bananas cover them in water, add a squart or two lemon juicem let soak for only a minute or two then, rince and drain real well. This keeps them looking better longer.
