    I used walnuts because I had them on hand. Worked well and the dip is tasty with Granny Smith apples so will be good in the Fall, too.

    This made a great party dish.

    I made this & it was really good, but I added more walnuts & I didn't serve it as a dip. I layed the apples & pears alternating in a long dish (think olive dish/tray), and poured the dip across the middle of the fruit, then sprinkled with a touch of cinnamon. With the nice dish, the dip running down the side, and the cinnamon sprinkled on top it looked like something out of a restaurant. Enjoy! =)
