Red gelatin blended with ice cream is chilled in a serving bowl and topped with bananas, strawberries, pineapple, nuts and whipped topping.

what you need

cups boiling water

pkg. (8-serving size) JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin

cups cold water

pt. (2 cups) vanilla ice cream, softened
1/2
cup pineapple chunks
1/2
cup each: sliced banana and strawberries
1/2
cup PLANTERS Chopped Pecans
1
cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

Make It

STIR boiling water into dry gelatin mix in large bowl at least 2 min. until completely dissolved. Stir in cold water.

ADD ice cream; stir until well blended. Pour into serving bowl.

REFRIGERATE 3 hours or until firm. Top with fruit, pecans and whipped topping.

Substitute
Prepare as directed, using chopped PLANTERS Slivered Almonds or Walnuts.

Substitute 2 pkg. (4-serving size each) JELL-O Gelatin, any red flavor, for 1 pkg. (8-serving size) gelatin.
How to Thaw COOL WHIP
Place an unopened tub of COOL WHIP Whipped Topping in the refrigerator. For complete thawing, allow these times: 4 hours for 8 oz. tub, 5 hours for 12 oz. tub, 6 hours for 16 oz. tub. Do not thaw COOL WHIP in the microwave.
