We made this cake for my son's 7th birthday last year and it was a bit hit! We combined this with the baseball cupcake recipe and all the kids were really excited! It was so easy and soooo good!
This was easy to make and turned out really cute, although I did make some changes. I just used canned frosting to frost the cake and instead of the sprinkles and licorice, I used a darker frosting and piped it on with a decorator's bag. It turned out really cute and my son loved it.
This was a cute cake from far away but I had a hard time putting the sprinkles on the top without getting it on places I didn't want the sprinkles to be. I would suggest using gel for the top. My guests loved the cake and so did I, just be prepared to take your time because you can't rush through decorating it. It put a smile on my son's face so that is all that is important! :-)
