BBQ Bacon Cheese Dog

This is just long enough to make the buns tough. I would grill or broil the dogs myself, then add cheese and bacon.

I substituted turkey franks and wheat rolls; microwaved my bacon on papertowels to absorb the fat) and it was great. My grannies just absolute loved them. We tried the BBQ sauce with honey dijon mustard. Now it is one of the favorites for weekend fun!

I tried this recipe with a whole wheat bun, veggie frank, boca meatless chili, fat free cheese, and omitted the bacon and bbq sauce.

i had so much fun making this recipe, and i had more fun eating it. best when served with tropical fruit salad.

Yes, my family really did like the bacon and cheese dog. My nephew gets tired of the same foods at times, but this really made his day yesterday

It's not healthy by any means but my guys loved them during the football games on Sunday.

I will do my bacon in 1lb. matter in oven till crisp, I know it leaves your oven dirty, but not with alluminum foil over top of 2 13'by9' pans or put them all together in one as they are baking they will shrink and all you have to do is sepearate them before they get crispy. Then boil the 120z. bag of hotdogs and put them all together, I will always add fried onion about 1/2 a medium onion. Then bacon sauce or many other sauce that you choose even salad dressing with the barbegue sauce combined. Thank you bonique4.

adding sour cream makes it really good

i just boiled the hot dogs, and cooked the bacon inside the oven.....taste better, then the microwave option. all taste good..my way!
