How to Steam Asparagus in the Microwave

Place 1 lb. trimmed fresh asparagus in 2-qt. microwaveable casserole. Add 1/3 cup water; cover. Microwave on HIGH 4 to 5 min. or until asparagus is crisp-tender. Drain well before using as desired.

Prepare as directed, using 1/2 cup of any combination of your favorite fresh herbs. Basil, parsley, cilantro, dill and/or mint are great choices. Use proportionally less oregano, thyme and chopped rosemary, as they are more assertive.
