BBQ Ranch Chicken Salad

You can’t tell by looking and you certainly can’t tell by tasting, but this salad made with savory chicken, Cheddar cheese and a drizzle of ranch dressing is low-cal.

What You Need

lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips

1/2

cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce

pkg. (10 oz.) mixed salad greens

large tomato, cut into wedges

1/2

cup sliced red onions

1/2

cup KRAFT Lite Ranch Dressing

1/4

cup KRAFT Natural Sharp Cheddar Cheese Crumbles

Make It

COOK and stir chicken in barbecue sauce in skillet on medium-high heat until chicken is done.

TOSS greens with chicken, tomatoes and onions in large bowl.

ADD dressing; mix lightly. Top with cheese.

Note

Chicken mixture can be moistened with additional barbecue sauce, if desired.

Shortcut

Substitute 2 pkg. (6 oz. each) OSCAR MAYER Deli Fresh Grilled Chicken Breast Strips for the cooked cut-up fresh chicken. Reduce barbecue sauce to 1/4 cup; toss with chicken breast strips. Continue as directed.

Use Your Grill

Place boneless skinless chicken breast halves on greased grill over hot coals. Grill until cooked through, turning and brushing frequently with barbecue sauce. Slice chicken; serve over greens mixture.

I made this when my mother in law was visiting and she loved it but I thought it was not good at all. BBQ sauce and ranch dressing just doesn't go together. Won't be making this again.

Soooo good! When I made it I put corn, black beans and crumbled up tortilla chips! It was fantastic.

I used half a can of cooked, canned chicken instead of the grilled chicken breasts. Followed the recipe after that and we all loved it! I loved the recipe too as it was easy to prepare. Will make again.
