  • Heat oil in large skillet on medium heat. Add onions, peppers, garlic and seasonings; stir. Cook 10 min., stirring frequently.
  • Add meat; mix well, using back of spoon to break sausage into smaller pieces. Cook 5 min. or until meat is done, stirring frequently. Add beer; stir to scrape any browned bits from bottom of skillet. Spoon into slow cooker sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Stir in tomatoes, beans and barbecue sauce; cover with lid. Cook on LOW 8 hours (or on HIGH 5 hours.)
  • Serve topped with cheese.
Please use alcohol responsibly.

Game Day Tip

Since this recipe makes 14 servings, it's the perfect dish to serve a hungry crowd of football fans. And as an added plus, the vegetables and meat can be cooked with the beer ahead of time. Cool, then refrigerate up to 24 hours. When ready to serve, combine with tomatoes, beans and barbecue sauce in slow cooker and cook as directed. Reheat any leftovers to serve over hot baked potatoes or cooked OSCAR MAYER Wieners.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream, sliced green onions and saltine crackers.

Prepare using your favorite flavor of KRAFT or BULL'S-EYE Barbecue Sauce, such as BULL'S-EYE Memphis Style Barbecue Sauce.

Special Extra

Top with sliced green onions just before serving.

I did not realize this recipe was a slow cooker recipe...reading is fundamental! Turned out OK. I think the beer taste was too prominent at first but i am sure that is why they say to use a slow cooker b/c i realized the longer it sat the better it tasted. I cooked it on the stove for about an hr on Med High and then simmered on low for about 30mins. As i said before, it tasted better the next day.

    I loved it.

I halved the recipe and just used the ground turkey and did not add the sausage, but if I were feeding a bigger crowd I would use it all. Very simple to make and the flavor was great.
