About a 1/4 to 1/3 cup chopped onions might be good added in.To allow the stuffing on top to crisp up I baked for 45 min & then added the cheese on top after coming out of the oven. (The package instructions didn't call for any cheese however the recipe on the web site did)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was awesome and easy to make. This was awesome and easy to make. i made a few adjustments and just want to point out that it really should be looked at as a casserole not a chili to avoid the disappointment that some other users had experienced. I added chili powder (about 2 tbs) and garlic powder (1/4 tsp) to the meat as it was cooking and to avoid the soggy stovetop that some had mentioned I made sure to use extra cheese so that the entire top of the mixture was covered to avoid the stovetop from absorbing too much of the liquid and I used the top rack of my oven. It turned out fantastic! The mix was flavorful and the stovetop crispy, it looked pretty much like the picture except my stovetop was a bit more brown from being crispy. A Keeper!

I took one rater's advice and added plenty of dashes of tabasco, and extra chili powder. Also, we're onion-lovers so I added *extra* onions! My husband loved it, and he's a fairly picky eater. I would consider adding green chili or even jalapenos next time, but it was awesome as-is. Definitely something for potlucks & get-togethers, too!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very tasty and very quick! Very tasty and very quick! To save fat & calories, I use half the amount of butter, fat-free cheddar cheese and use the leanest ground beef I can purchase and rinse it in hot water during the draining process. Only downside to the recipie is the stuffing doesn't seem to 'crisp up' - it all stays rather soggy - but still tastes delicious!

The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because my husband didn't care for it, but he also doesn't like beans. My kids and I LOVED it. We thought it was very delicious, and my 1 1/2 year old is a VERY picky eater. I did add more chili powder, and a can of corn. Great recipe!!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very yummy! Very yummy! When using 2lbs of ground beef, I added a smidge more tamato sauce and a little more chili powder. Also, add less water to the stuffing. Recipe calls for 1 2/3 cup but that makes it too watery. Just add enough water to moistened the stuffing.
