This was my first time making chili and this was a great recipe to use as a starting off point. I added half a green pepper, half an onion, an extra tsp of chili powder, a tsp of garlic powder, a cup of tomato sauce and a little bit of pepper. The fire roasted tomatoes were great and I was leary of adding salsa, but it actually added something to the chili. I will definitely make this again.

My 7-year-old loves it, my husband loves it and last week we had our bible study group over and they gave it rave reviews as well! I have made this chili many times and it gets better every time I make it!

I tweaked it a little and used a different medium chunky salsa, and a can of chopped tomatoes! I also added a little cumin, garlic powder and more chili power. I also used ground turkey! This will be my go to chili recipe because it's so easy and so yummy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very, very yummy and easy to customize. Very, very yummy and easy to customize. We used pinto beans instead of kidney beans, doubled the recipe, and use a whole jar of salsa instead of the required amount. I have a family full of picky eaters and this was a hands down hit with everyone! Can't say that about most of the things I cook...
