Ideal for summer when tomatoes are ripe and basil is abundant, this meatless pasta dish flavored with garlic and Parmesan cheese is quick and easy.

cups  rotini pasta, uncooked

medium  ripe tomatoes, chopped
1/3
cup  thinly sliced fresh basil
1/4
cup  olive oil
1
clove  garlic, minced
1/2
tsp.  salt
1/4
tsp.  pepper
1/3
cup  KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese

Make It

COOK pasta as directed on package; drain.

MEANWHILE, mix tomatoes, basil, oil, garlic, salt and pepper in large bowl. Add pasta and cheese; mix lightly.

Serve with a whole-wheat roll and fresh fruit for dessert.
Great Substitute
Substitute 1 tsp. dried basil leaves for sliced fresh basil.
Tomato & Basil Pasta Salad
Prepare as directed, except rinse pasta with cold water after cooking. Mix with remaining ingredients; cover. Refrigerate 2 hours or overnight. Stir lightly before serving.
