Ratings & Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have been making this pie for the holidays for years. I have been making this pie for the holidays for years. There are never any leftovers and I always make two. My guests say that they love the fact that the chocolate is not too rich. I love the simplicity of the recipe. After making it so many times, I don't think it actually takes me 20 minutes to prepare. I also make two of the Double Layer Pumpkin Pies at the same time (also a cinch and delicious too).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from As far as ease goes, you can't get much easier than this pie when it comes to making dessert. As far as ease goes, you can't get much easier than this pie when it comes to making dessert. The first time that I made it, I followed the recipe instructions. The second time around, I found that there was a smoother consistency when making pudding first and then adding it to the whipped cream cheese.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only change I would recommend is to use a plain graham cracker crust. The only change I would recommend is to use a plain graham cracker crust. It helps to bring out all the flavors, not just the chocolate. Other then that, it was all gone in a matter of minutes! We have a large family and they all loved it. Next time I make it my husband says I need to make 3!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The recipe tries to combine the appeal of cheesecake and cream pie, but misses the target. The recipe tries to combine the appeal of cheesecake and cream pie, but misses the target. Very sweet, but the filling was surprisingly bland. Neither one of us ate an entire piece - it was just too sweet and uninteresting.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Delicious and super easy! Delicious and super easy! I made this for our Annual Fall Festival and it was a hit. I am not a huge fan of Cool Whip, so I made real whipped cream. I will make this again by request of my hubby and the neighborhood!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This recipe looked good, but it just kind of came out lackluster. This recipe looked good, but it just kind of came out lackluster. The pudding and the cherries didn't have a strong enough flavor to really define the pie.
