This recipe’s picture is very deceiving; it wasn't until after I made this recipe I looked back at the picture and noticed the spoon laying next to the small single serve trifle dish. I have a medium size trifle dish (measures 7 5/8" x 9" x 10 1/8"), and the fillings aren't enough to make the defined layers. If you are using a medium or large trifle dish, I would suggest doubling or even tripling the recipe to make sure that you have enough to make each layer. Even with the issue of layering, this is a great tasting recipe! I brought it to an Oktoberfest party and everyone raved about it! Everyone joked about my ‘lack of presentation’, but next time I know to double the recipe to make more defined layers. I will definitely be making this recipe again because it's quick, simple and DELICIOUS!

I made this for a party (about 30 people), i had about 2 servings left by the end of the night! It was a huge hit...I am definitely making this again! I put in almost an entire small package of oreos and I put in 2 large cans of cherries- i was afraid it might be too cool whippy, it tasted great with my slight additions. My boyfriend requested I make it again for this weekend! It looked amazing too in a trifle dish- presentation and appeal is what makes a dish!

I have made this recipe the regular way, but I am diabetic and so is my son-in-law; so I changed all the ingredients to sugar-free. You can't tell the difference! I took it to a super bowl party and all the men wanted me to give their wives the recipe. I asked them if they wanted the real recipe or what they ate, they wanted the sugar free to saves on calories. I have doubled the recipe and used chocolate and cheesecake puddings and it is great.

This is a great recipe although I did have trouble layering it so I made it again but in a pie form. I used the Oreo pie shell, 2 boxes (4 serving size) of chocolate fudge pudding cool whip and cherries. I layered about a cup of just the pudding in the pie shell first then, I layered the cherries in and then I mixed the remaining pudding with cool whip and layered it on top. It was great and so much easier than the original recipe.

I made this dessert for a dinner my husband and I were invited to in which I was asked to bring a dessert. Our friends absolutely LOVED the dessert and so did my husband and I. The only thing I would change, is I would use only the cherry glaze for the layering and then use the cherries alongwith the glaze for the top layer. After a while of eating the dessert, some of us got a little "cherried-out" but we all still loved it! :)

My first assignment in my college Public Speaking class was a 5 minute presentation speech. I chose this recipe because it was quick, easy and looked delicious. I assembled it in class while presenting and everyone got to sample it afterward. It was a hit, especially with the guys. They ate it up so fast I didn't even get to try it! That's ok, the recipe and I both got an A.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This was yummy. This was yummy. A nice, cool, fluffy dessert. I should have doubled it to fit better in my serving dish. So be aware of that, depending how you plan on displaying it. Other than that it was perfect for a at home dessert for the family. Personally I would not make it for a gathering or party, it wasn't that amazing. But it is super easy and fast!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is devine! This is devine! However, a few suggestions for anyone about to make for the first time. Make chocolate pudding per directions on pudding box and once cool add your cool whip and oreos. Also, I would double this recipe if making for a trifle dish. I think fatter layers would be much more appealing! Yummy and beautiful presentation though!
