Due to a severe spring storm we did not get to the store to get the entire ingredient list but we made do with what we had on hand. The sauce was a nice light Alfredo type which I would make again. We just made the sauce separately, sauteed garlic with veggies we had in the drawer...asparagus, green onion, broccoli and cherry tomatoes. Add a little cracked pepper and viola! Dinner. Very good. Will make again.

The spinach and tomatoes added with the pasta was great I like to incorporate my veggies into my main meal rather than a side dish. However the sauce was weird it was a little to rich for the dish and kind of congealed. My husband who eats almost anything decided that this was surely not one of his favorites. I recommended this recipe to people before I made it, now I unrecomended it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was fabulous! This was fabulous! I made it for a lunch (with gests). I served it with a great cheezy Garlic bread and green salad. I got so many compliments and requests for the recipe! I will definately do it again...I can see so many possibilities to change it up a little...asparagus or artichoke hearts instead of the spinach...chicken breast or shrimp instead of the bacon...

It is now one of my favorite recipes for a quick and satisfying dinner. I keep cooked bacon in the freezer to make prep time even shorter. My daughter has a friend who is a very picky eater and this is one of the few dishes that she will eat! We just love it.

I used whole wheat penne, though, and I think that may be what caused the downfall of this dish. Personally, I won't be making it again. (And it certainly didn't look like the picture posted on here!)

We all loved it, even my picky 4 year old and she has never eaten anything with spinach before! This one is a winner. I have already passed it on to other family members. Thank You!

Some minor changes are made: we use an entire package of bacon and the tomatoes aren't added till the end of cooking time. I've found that they sometimes burst if they get too hot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My family and friends love this! My family and friends love this! It's easy to change too, I've added diced tomatos (drained) and some canned mushrooms. Next time we're replacing the bacon with shrimp. So easy, the pasta takes longer to cook than the actual sauce. We love it!
