What You Need

pkg. (3 oz. each) JELL-O Raspberry Flavor Gelatin

qt. (4 cups) water

fresh pears, peeled

1/2

cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

Make It

MIX gelatin mixes and water in Dutch oven or small stockpot. Bring to boil on medium-high heat; cook 2 min. or until gelatin is completely dissolved, stirring frequently.

ADD pears; partially cover pan with lid. Simmer on medium-low heat 20 min. or just until pears are tender, stirring after 10 min. Remove pears from liquid; reserve liquid for another use (see Tip) or discard.

SERVE topped with COOL WHIP.

Note

After draining the cooked pears, pour the reserved cooking liquid into 8 dessert dishes. Refrigerate 4 hours or until set for a refreshing JELL-O snack.

Substitute

Prepare using any other flavor of red JELL-O Gelatin.

Make Ahead

Cooked pears can be stored in refrigerator up to 24 hours before serving.

Very quick and easy dessert. We made it with sugar free jello and it was perfect. We served it with a little cool whip and cinnimon. We did need to cook them a little longer than the recipe stated but other than that, it worked great.

Wow fentastic!!! While seeing first time i thought ohh man how the pear is in red color ,then i tried it came good ,me and my husband enjoyed a lot.

Great presentation, easy prep excellent after heavy meal. A way to add fruit to meal & still have dessert

It was quick to make, and loved the way it looked. It gave the pear a nice berry taste, so it had a little kick to it.

I made this for my Mother & Father -in-Laws. There older and very healthy. I made this for them so they would have something sweet to snack on at Christmas time. After all the grandkids went home. They Fully appreciated this treat. I'll definately make this again!!
