what you need

boneless beef chuck eye roast (2 lb.)

Tbsp. oil

cup A.1. Bold & Spicy Steak Sauce

1/2

cup water

large sweet onions, sliced

Make It

BROWN meat in hot oil in Dutch oven or large saucepan on medium heat. Remove meat from pan; drain.

ADD steak sauce and water to pan; bring to boil. Return meat to pan; top with onions. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 1 hour 30 minutes, basting occasionally and adding additional water, if needed.

SLICE meat. Serve over hot cooked parslied noodles, if desired.

I love this dish! I've prepared it numerous times in family gatherings and sometimes on weeknights. Its my kid's favorite beef dish. Sometimes I prepare it using bbq sauce or just plain soy sauce w/ a little sugar. Its so easy to prepare, the beef is so tender and always comes out delicious!

Tasty and easy. I might try to cook it more on low heat next time; I think I had the heat a bit too high and the was a little more dry than I'd expect, but it was still very good.

This is definitely the best roast I've ever made! It was simple and had a wonderful flavor. It was also very tender. My husband and my son both loved it. I will definitely make this again, and again, and again...!

You can use regular A1 if the Bold is too spicy for ya. I just loved this recipe. I also used eye of round steaks. I don't have a family to feed so the small steaks are great for two people!!

This was the first pot roast I've made and it turned out great. My boyfriend and I don't like the taste of A1 but, you can't really taste it. I still think there is some flavor missing. Perhaps I would add carrots, celery, and potatoes the next time.

I would put the onions in later. I also added in some garlic into the recipe as well.
