What You Need

cup BREAKSTONE'S Sour Cream

1/4

cup packed brown sugar

cups fresh strawberries, sliced

1/4

cup strawberry preserves

pkg. (10.75 oz.) prepared pound cake, cut into 8 slices

cups blueberries

Make It

MIX sour cream and sugar. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

COMBINE strawberries and preserves. Let stand at room temperature 30 min.

SPOON sour cream mixture over cake slices just before serving; top with strawberry mixture and blueberries.

Substitute

For a delicious pound cake that could easily pass for a cake made from scratch, prepare and bake your favorite boxed pound cake mix as directed on package, adding 1/2 cup BREAKSTONE’S Sour Cream with the remaining ingredients. Then use to prepare recipe as directed.

Cut pound cake slices into star shapes with cookie cutters. Spoon fruit onto dessert plates; top with pound cake stars and sour cream mixture. Garnish with additional fruit.

I thought this recipe was fantastic! It was so easy, especially since anyone can BUY premade pound cake at the store. Very little prep-time, which is great for my hectic schedule!

This is definitely a 'keeper.' It is so easy to make and colorful. I'm going to make it with angel food cake for the Fourth of July for red, white & blue.

When I see the title 'Lucious Berries and Cream Pound Cake', I'm excited. Then I see in the ingredients where it calls for '6 slices of pound cake'. Well, I don't have pound cake. I thought this recipe would tell me how to make the pound cake, too. It may be convenient for people who just happen to have Pound Cake in their kitchen, but what about those of us who don't?

I made this recipe for my book club and they loved it-it was so easy but it didn't taste like it. I bought the pound cake from the grocery store which made it even easier.
