Rated 4 out of 5 by from I took this to a Thanksgiving potluck. I took this to a Thanksgiving potluck. It was very popular, and I liked it even though I'm not usually a broccoli fan. I substituted cubed Velveeta cheese for the Cheez Whiz (cooking with that stuff seemed sort of gross to me), and I used cream of chicken soup instead of cream of mushroom. I also doubled everything and used a 9x13 casserole dish. Very successful -- everyone wants me to make it again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This went over very well for the group of 40 I cook for. This went over very well for the group of 40 I cook for. I made 4 individual recipes. I replaced the broccoli with spinach. I added 3 chicken breasts, sauted until almost done, cut into small cubes, then mixed with the other ingredients. Refrigerated covered until the next day. Baked covered with foil for 45 mintues. The last 15 min. I uncovered it. I would make again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I changed the recipe a bit: added 1 lb. I changed the recipe a bit: added 1 lb. cooked chicken breast chunks, used 98% fat free soup, and subbed 2% american for the Cheese Whiz. It was AWESOME! My family inhaled it and asked that it be put into regular rotation. Best of all, made with these changes it was a meal in a pan, only added about 15 calories, cut the fat in half, and still tasted delicious.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was looking for a replacement for the green bean/mushroom soup casserole for Easter dinner. I was looking for a replacement for the green bean/mushroom soup casserole for Easter dinner. This sounded good so I prepared it. It was wonderful! Even those who didn't particularly care for broccoli were tempted to try it and raved over it. It will become a new "standard" for our hoilday dinners!

When I made this I added a box of frozen broccoli & cheese, subsituted the cream of mushroom for cream of broccoli (cream of celery would be good too), and added some mixed veggies. It turned out great!

I started a weekly get together night with my husband's family and this Casserole was a big hit. There was nothing left. I really enjoyed cruchiness of the stuffing on top and it was so easy to make. You can make ahead of time and then just pop into the oven before serving.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My cousin and I use Velveeta instead of cheez whiz and it is much better. My cousin and I use Velveeta instead of cheez whiz and it is much better. I'm not a big fan of cheez whiz. The sodium is high on this but if you buy the low sodium stuffing and maybe replace the cream of mushroom soup with something else, it helps to cut on the sodium.
