Of course, no one serves cheesy broccoli dip in a scooped-out bread bowl just so there's one less dish to clean. Still, it's a bonus!

Ratings & Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The preparation section is lacking. The preparation section is lacking. It only describes how to hollow out the loaf of bread to serve the dip in. It was not clear why the total time listed is 3hr 15min. I decided to leave out the water chestnuts, but other than that this recipe is something I will make again. It's a great alternative to the veggie dips you find in the store.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The dip was too creamy and the taste was too much like mayo. The dip was too creamy and the taste was too much like mayo. It's like there wasn't enough broccoli or fillings to make up for the amount of mayo and sour cream. Usually my dips go super quick at my parties but this one just sat in the bread bowl all night long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent recipe! Excellent recipe! I make it with spinach, as suggested in the "great substitute" section, and my guests just can't stop eating it. I serve it with the extra bread from inside the bowl and a variety of crackers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made this for many gatherings. I made this for many gatherings. I do not like water chestnuts so I just omit them. I instead add more veggies. This first time I made this I thought it was too tangy so I just use less miracle whip.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I think if I made it again, I would try it with mayo instead of miracle whip. I think if I made it again, I would try it with mayo instead of miracle whip. The miracle whip was all I tasted. Too tangy. Also, I don't think I would serve it with bread, maybe crackers.
