  • Preheat broiler. Cut grapefruit in half; use a sharp knife to separate sections of grapefruit from the peel.
  • Combine sugar and cinnamon. Remove 1/4 tsp. of the cinnamon mixture; sprinkle remaining cinnamon mixture over cut sides of grapefruit. Place, cut sides up, in broiler pan.
  • Broil, 3 to 4 inches from heat, 3 to 4 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Top each with 2 Tbsp. of the whipped topping; sprinkle with the reserved cinnamon mixture.

How To Select and Store Grapefruit

When purchasing grapefruit, select fruit with brightly colored skin that's firm when pressed with your fingers. Store at room temperature for up to 2 days or in plastic bag in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Mmm, I really enjoyed this recipe. I love pink grapefruit, and this was a great healthy dessert. Perfect blend of sweet with sour.

My daughter whipped these up for a surprise to her father. We all loved them and so easy too. We used graham cracker crumbs and butter for the bottom instead of oreo's. Would make again and again.

This is positively delicious! The sweet Cool Whip and cinnamon are perfect with the bitter grapefruit. Great for a snack, dessert or even breakfast!
