Make It

Tap or click steps to mark as complete

  • Mix flour, cereal and baking powder in medium bowl; set aside.
  • Beat egg, milk and margarine in wire whisk until well blended. Add to dry ingredients; mix just until blended. Let stand 5 min.; stir in blueberries.
  • Ladle scant 1/4 cup batter onto hot griddle or into hot skillet sprayed with cooking spray for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on tops, then turn over to brown other sides.

Note

Make sure the griddle is hot before using. Flick a few drops of water on the surface; if the water sizzles, the griddle is ready.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from OK so I messed up the first recipe, oops. OK so I messed up the first recipe, oops. I may have accidently only put 1/2 c only of flour ( I couldn't understand why they were SO runny). So before I had realized what I had actually done I poured the remaining batter into a pan and baked in the oven. It came out great and my boys liked them. However, I am going to try the recipe making sure that I follow all proper instructions!! With the goof up and finishing off in the oven my boys thought they were very good so imagine if I follow all they will like them the same if not better!!!

I made this for my whole family but I substituted whole wheat flour for regular flour and instant oatmeal for instant cream of wheat. I doubled the recipe since I have a large family and was worried that I made too many. But.. NO! My family LOVED them.. 12 hours later they're still talking about them!

I probably sould of read some feedback before making them because they were pretty tasty I just think the recipe calls for to much milk they were very runny. If your looking for fluffy pancakes these surely aren't for you they are really flat. But again they were pretty tasty

I also used oatmeal instead of Cream of Wheat, in differant flavors. I combined all the dry ingrediants in a bowl, then just poured everything else in a mixed together. Perfect!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good! Very good! The pancakes are much lighter than traditional panakes so you may want to make extras or have some sides.
